Two Teams from Sociology Education Receive Student Creativity Proposal (PKM) Funding

22-08-2024

A total of four Sociology Education students consisting of two teams received funding for the Student Creativity Proposal in the field of Social Humanities Research (PKM-RSH). One team led by Salsabila Az Zahra and consisting of Margareta Bertuanda from the 2022 batch passed the funding with the research topic "JOURCISES: Journaling Exercise as Emotional Regulation in Men in the Shackles of Toxic Masculinity". Another team led by Rama Mahesa and consisting of Tari Rahmawati from the 2022 batch with the research topic "Parenting Style Analysis of Regional Language Shifts as Mother Tongues and Their Impact on Cultural Inheritance.

"Quite challenging, because this relies on teamwork because sometimes it is a struggle to get agreement within the team. However, in every phase, I am always grateful and proud to have survived and progressed until now, when PKP2 is approaching. There are so many new insights that can be taken during this PKM because previously it was not obtained in class", said Salsabila Az Zahra describing her gratitude for getting valuable experience in undergoing this PKM activity process.

For Margareta, the PKM activity was very challenging and honed her abilities to compete on a national scale. "Proud and happy to be able to fight and challenge myself to focus more on honing my research skills in this PKM. During the research, there was so much knowledge, relationships, and experience gained. Behind the happiness that was expressed, there were many struggles for the success of our PKM. Hopefully our PKM will pass to PIMNAS and can motivate many students to take part in PKM next year", said Margareta.

For Rama and Tari, the experience during the PKM process was very memorable and proud. "This PKM was very memorable, despite the many obstacles and the ups and downs of the team's enthusiasm in working. "This PKM really gave me a lot of academic and non-academic knowledge," said Rama. "As a Sociology Education student who is a member of the Leppim organization, I am very proud and touched to participate in PKM which I initially thought was only to fulfill the obligation of the course," said Tari.

PKM is an activity initiated by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology through the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs to foster student creativity and innovation in shaping the character and thinking and acting skills of students. PKM is one form of implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education by fostering, accommodating, and realizing students' creative and innovative ideas. The final stage of this PKM is the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) as the peak activity of national-scale student scientific activities.

Let's pray that the representatives from Sociology Education pass to the PIMNAS stage and can bring good name to their families, relatives, and the Sociology Education study program.
