Susu Jelly: Collaboration of 10Acious with PKK Jayagiri Village develops UMKM in Agent Of Change Program

The Project Based Learning Agent of Change program as a form of MBKM Independent Education Studies Program in cooperation with P2MB LPPM University of Education Indonesia aims to dedicate itself to the village community in Bandung Raya region. The group named 10acious, which consists of students in 2020, 2021, and 2022, is determined to be agents of positive change in society. They focus on issues such as education, the environment, health, and poverty reduction.
In its implementation, the 10acious group conducted observations and interviews to find out the problems in Jayagiri Village, Lembang, Bandung West. One of the problems identified is women who are vulnerable to social problems. To solve this problem, 10acious collaborated with the PKK mothers of Jayagiri village to form micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (UMKM) with the aim of increasing the income of women and mothers in the village.
This collaboration involves training and support in the development of women’s efforts. Thus, their income is expected to increase, so that the socio-economic conditions in Jayagiri village can improve. The program also encourages active participation of the community in every stage of change. The 10acious members strive to involve the community as volunteers, donate time and resources, and include them in community activities. Expected through this program, the 10acious group and the PKK mothers can work together to create positive change in the Jayagiri village. These collaborations are expected to be an inspiration for surrounding communities to engage in development and social change in their surroundings.
The main focus of the program is the production of jelly milk drinks, which will involve the PKK mothers of Jayagiri village. On March 30, 2023, the 10acious group held a reception event in Jayagiri Village Hall. The event was attended by representatives of village heads, field tutor lecturers, and members of the 10acious group themselves. At the event, the 10acious group presented in detail the UMKM program they planned for the attendees. They explained about the production of jelly milk beverages as the primary UMKM product that will be formed. On May 12, 2023, the 10acious group organized a production and packaging practice involving all members of the PKK Mother Village Jayagiri. The aim of this activity is to provide direct training and experience to PKK members in the production and packaging process of UMKM products. The aim of the program is to provide benefits to the PKK mothers of Jayagiri village, such as increased incomes and economic independence.
