Sociology Education Study Program Present at KMI Expo XII 2021
Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship Expo (Expo Kewisausahaan Mahasiswa, "KMI") is an event that brings together entrepreneurial students throughout Indonesia who have been equipped with various kinds of knowledge, skills, and entrepreneurial attitudes. KMI Expo is held regularly every year by the Directorate of Belmawa, Directorate General of Diktiristek, Kemendikbudristek. It is attended by students who are interested in the field of entrepreneurship from various universities throughout Indonesia. KMI Expo XII 2021 carries the theme Collaboration and Synergy and will be held on 17-19 November 2021 at Brawijaya University, Malang. This activity is blended (online and offline).
The series at KMI Expo XII 2021 is divided into two, namely the main activities, which include Product Exhibition and Bazaar (KBMI and general - blended), KMI Awards (online), and Startup Summit competition (online), and PWMI Awards (blended). In addition, supporting activities at KMI Expo XII 2021 include various kinds of competition activities, such as International Student Entrepreneurship (online), Indonesian Student Cafe Competition (offline), Sponsor Booth Competition (offline), and Student Entrepreneurship Tiktok Competition (online). Meanwhile, non-competition activities at KMI Expo XII 2021, general lectures on entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship talk shows, workshops from Forkomawa (Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship Program Management Forum), PWMI (Indonesian Student Entrepreneurial Assistance Program), Indonesia Student Entrepreneur Network (ISEN), and there are also entertainment events such as band performances and dances with entrepreneurship themed songs.
At KMI Expo XII 2021, there were three Indonesia University of Education (UPI) teams that successfully passed the semi-final stage in the General KMI Category, namely 1) Straply Swangky (Creative Industry); 2) LemoNcoffee (Food and Beverage), and; 3) NEISY.ID (Services and Trade). In addition, there were also four (4) teams from UPI who passed the semi-final stage in the KBMI category, namely 1) Befound Tech-Innovation of Arduino-Based Weather Engineering Tools to Support Indonesian People's Broiler Productivity Results (Technology); 2) Make Runny (Food and Beverage); 3) Churros Time (Food and Beverage), and; 4) Guppy Fish Group Indonesia (Production/Culture).
Two UPI teams won the championship, namely Befound Tech-Innovation of Arduino-Based Weather Engineering Tools as Supporting Productivity Results of Indonesian People's Broiler Breeders who won 1st Place in the KBMI category in the Technology Sector category, and the Manufacturing Team that won 1st Place in Hope Student Entrepreneurship Tiktok category.
Hopefully, by holding this KMI Expo activity, it can motivate all of us to continue to be enthusiastic about making achievements, especially in entrepreneurship. In addition, it is hoped that the KMI Expo can be a place to display student creativity in entrepreneurship. Hopefully, it can be a helpful forum for young entrepreneurs in various universities throughout Indonesia to build cooperation and expand networks with entrepreneurs or students interested in entrepreneurship in Indonesia.
