Sociology Education Public Lecture: A New Era of Digital Learning Reality and Hope

Beginning in early October, it was opened with activities that could raise the spirit of students as well as provide knowledge related to learning in the digital era. A public lecture attended by all students in the Sociology Education Study Program with guest lecturer Mr. Grendi L. Hendrastomo, M.A from Sociology Education, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, on Monday, October 4, 2021, starting at 09.00 WIB until 11.30 WIB online.

Carrying the theme of the New Era of Digital Learning, Reality, and Hope, it began by listening to students' comments regarding their experiences of online learning for approximately 3 (three) semesters of online learning. In addition, Mr. Grendy also provided tips related to online learning to make it more interesting and not boring by applying various online applications in learning activities. As a teacher or prospective teacher, you must be good at combining applications with the material being taught.

At the end of the lecture, Mr. Grendy reminded him to be careful in using applications related to the ease with which personal information can be accessed, so one must be smart in sorting the various applications that will be used. Preferably, offline learning is more effective as a whole in the teaching and education process which as a whole can be applied directly. Minus points that cannot be applied in teaching and learning activities are carried out online.
