Social Media Development in Marketing of Tea Products Sendang Geulis


In helping the village community to develop the tourist village Sendang Geulis Kahuripan which it managed has made efforts to develop through social media platforms Instagram and Tiktok. The program was implemented to develop social media Instagram through workshops. There is a problem where Sendang Geulis Kahuripan is not widely known by the general public. In the beginning Sendang Geulis himself already had an Instagram account but because of the lack of SDM experts in the promotion of social media tourism activities, this resulted in the absence of existing effectiveness that ended with the inactiveness of the social media for a while and there are several accounts of the same Instagram but not managed by the tourist party Geulis Kahuripan itself.

This optimization program is carried out by accompanying the younger generations of specialized villagers by experts related to optimization of social media through content planning as well as how to formulate the right strategies to brand and promote tourism so that it can be better known and can be more alive. Some strategies that are made of the program on optimization such as how to create good content in accordance with the market and the potential that tourism has, follow the trend that is developing in social media that can be applied to tourist content Sendang Geulis Kahuripan, as well as increasing the number of followers and Instagram activity possessed so that can make Instagram users know that the social media is active and is also an Instagram managed directly by the tourist party Sendang geulis Kahulipan.

With the workshop, there has been an increase in the amount of content creation and there is a rise in the number of followers on the Instagram account Sendang Geulis Kahuripan which makes Instagram more active. To date, the Instagram account @sendanggeulis has 33 posts with 1,290 followers. This can be one of the steps to make the tour of Sendang Geulis Kahuripan more known as well as a promotion for tourists who are looking for a place to stay with the atmosphere of nature. In addition, social media development programs are also carried out through Tiktok. Where a special account has been created to introduce the potential of the tourist village through short videos that depict the conditions of nature in the village. To date, there are five promotional videos displayed on an account called @sendanggeulis, with an average viewers above 300 viewers. As time passes, the promotional videos will continue to be made regularly by the managers. As for the use of hastag (#sendanggeuliskahuripan) has been used by many users of Tiktok when uploading videos about the place. Thus, by typing the name of the tourist site in the search column, there have been many promotional videos about the place.
