The government has begun to encourage limited face-to-face learning for areas that fall into the green and yellow zones of COVID-19. UPI, which is located in Sukasari sub-district, Bandung, is included in the yellow zone. Supporting this, the inaugural Sociology Education Study Program implemented limited face-to-face learning for students of the Sociology Education Study Program class of 2021 in introductory sociology courses.

Tuesday, September 21, 2021, under the guidance of Ms. Dr. Siti Nurbayani, M.Si and Mr. Fajar Asyahidda, M.Pd did combine blended learning between grades 1A and 1B. This blended learning is followed offline by students who live in Bandung with the condition that they have received two doses of the vaccine. The rest, for students who live outside Bandung, continue to follow online learning.

New students feel very happy for the first time to be able to set foot in the lecture room of the Sociology Education study program. Blended learning can reduce boredom for after approximately 3 semesters they study online. In the future, blended learning will begin to be applied to other courses in the Sociology Education study program.

We hope that the Covid-19 pandemic will end soon and the teaching and learning process will be carried out face-to-face in full. To avoid learning loss which is increasingly troubling for the next generation of this nation.
