Preparing Modern Educators through Independent Study Programs

One of the certified Independent Study programs from Kampus Merdeka provides Modern Educator  training which aims to prepare students with  educational study program  backgrounds to become innovative  educators  and able to meet diverse  needs  by  involving technology in each of its teaching activities.  The implementation of the  program is carried out in a blended learning manner, which combines synchronous and asynchronous sessions. A  synchronous session learning process  that takes advantage of the Teams meeting feature. Meanwhile,  asynchronous sessions through virtual  classes in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Learn as a student self-study resource  .

This program is carried out for 5 months starting from   participating in onboarding, studying  13 modules consisting of soft skills and specific skills, solving a problem in an educational institution and creating  the best solution through application by involving technology in problem solving.  In this case, developing digitally literate learners, empowering every student with  inclusive  classrooms, and creating an inclusive environment with dyslexia awareness.

In addition to gaining an understanding of the 13 modules, students also solve a problem by creating a  Microsoft 365 technology introduction and training program  as a means of supporting learning activities for  Primary School educators in  the 3T (frontier, disadvantaged, and outermost) areas. A learning process  that flexibly  adapts to the needs of students in learning.  Thus, students can hone the skills and practical  knowledge of Modern Educators to become innovative and creative prospective educators  so that they are able to meet the  needs of their students.
