The PKM FPIPS UPI group, consisting of Ujang Kusnadi Adam, Andreian Yusup (both from Sociology Education) and Salma Fauziyyah Fadlullah who are students from Islamic Religious Education, received a Social Humanities research grant from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education under the title : “Offerings As Cultural Identity, Acculturation, and Local Wisdom through the android application (SERA) Sociology Education Research Application” .

The implementation of the research took place in Cipicung Girang Village, RT 05 RW 10, Ciumbuleuit Village, Cidadap District, Bandung City. With such a modern era and increasingly sophisticated technology and others. The people of the Cipicung village are very happy to uphold the culture that has been carried out by Karuhun or ancient parents.

"We, the people, have practiced this culture since ancient times, which was taught by our parents, and continue to preserve this culture for the stability of the people who live here, because if it is not implemented there will be incidents or warnings, in the form of natural events, accidents and even trance," said Mrs. Naning.

This community performs the ritual on Monday and Tuesday night by performing prayers given by pupuhu who have knowledge. "If there are people who don't offer offerings on big day celebrations or on Tuesday and Friday nights, it really comes back to that person's belief, will they use offerings or not. But if people who used to serve and then didn't do something there must be something going on." he continued.

The community really respects karuhun and their pupuh so that they can continue to be a balance for society in Cipicung Girang Village.
