MSIB Pre Service Teacher at Global Islamic Boarding School Banjarmasin
Merdeka Campus is a policy issued by Kemendikbudristek by giving the right to Students to take courses outside the curriculum for 1 semester and to operate outside the college for 2 semesters. The Merdeka Campus Certified Internship Program is one of the Merdeca Campus programs that provides opportunities for students across Indonesia to gain experience in the world of work. During the internship process, students will be given a real project for 16 to 24 weeks online or luring. With this internship program, students have a great opportunity to develop their careers after graduating from lectures. Internship partners are spread all over Indonesia which is definitely something to be welcomed.
At the Certified Internship in the year 2022 this is an internship program that has been carried out for 3 times so it is named the Batch 3. I was given the opportunity to be accepted in one of the partners of a company called hasnur Centre, the largest company in South Kalimantan, precisely in Banjarmasin. For about 5 months starting from August 18th – December 24th 2022 I was on the machine to attend Batch 3 Certified Internship.
At first I experienced a culture shock because of cultural differences and traditions there but as time went by I got used to and also comfortable being in Banjarmasin. My internship is perfectly suited to my curriculum because I'm a sociology teacher or Pre-Service Teacher at the Global Islamic Boarding School. I teach sociology subjects there. In addition to the internship, I also got a lot of things that I hadn't gotten before, as long as I was given training, coaching and mentoring to provide me as a prospective sociology teacher in the future.
At Global Islamic Boarding School this has a very unique teaching framework and distinguish school that exists in Indonesia, with the framework Pedagogical content knowledge and also Anderson Krathwol Taxonomy, really this is a very extraordinary experience, I learn a lot and get new insights during my internship in the southern Kalimantan precisely at Hasnur centre in the position of Pre Service teacher.
