LEVEL-UP CANVA DESIGN (LCD) 2022
On Saturday, September 3, 2022, the Ministry of Education BEM HMPS has carried out a design training work program familiarly known as LCD (Canva Design Level-up) with the theme "Pro's Secret in Using Canva to Improve Your Skill Design". This LCD activity took place in Meeting Room 5.11 FPIPS UPI and was attended by 60 participants who were active students of Sociology Education class of 2018 - 2022.
It is undeniable that graphic design skills are needed today, especially with the increasingly sophisticated and strong role of the digital world which encourages a strong graphic design position. One of the supporting platforms in graphic design is Canva. Nowadays, Canva is very dominating inthe digital world not only for students, office workers also use this platform because the interface is not complicated and the features provided are very helpful and facilitate work.
In this activity, there are three events, including:
1. Pematerian
Theematrian session in the LCD activity reviewed the basics of design, such as typography (selection of typefaces), selection of color palettes and around elements / objects in the design after that continued with tips on making carousels (connecting designs) on the Instagram platform. The speaker of this LCD activity was Widya Puspita Garini (Sociology Education Student 2018).
2. Praktik Design
Sehas been presented, participants are given the opportunity to mempraktikan knowledge that has been obtained through the platform Canva. Inthis regard, the participantsseemed enthusiastic because they already had the provisions of the presentation
3. Design Challenge
The results of the praktik that have been essayed in such a way by the participants are finally collected collectively on the Google Drive that has been provided and laterwill be assessed by the committee as a form of application of the material that has been given. The form of the challenge is to make a carousel (connecting design) in accordance with the theme and issues that have been determined by the committee. The two best works will be published on the Instagram @hmps.upi page.
The LCD activity actually went smoothly in terms of the enthusiasm of the participants whenparticipating in the attack. This event ended with a group photo session in the free photobooth area that had been provided by the committee.
