Community Dedication: Sapta Pesona Tanjung Duriat Jatigede

Tuesday, November 2, 2021, the Sociology Education Study Program will carry out the tri dharma activities of higher education with community service activities. Activities carried out in Tanjung Duriat Village, Jatigede, Sumedang. The routine activities carried out by this study program aim to empower local communities who have switched their livelihoods to the tourism sector after the construction of the Jati Gede Reservoir.

Community service activities with the theme "Implementation of Sapta Pesona Values in the Development of Sustainable Tourism Destinations in Tanjung Duriat Jatigede." were attended by representatives from Cv Campernik as a Tanjung Duriat tourism developer, representatives from Perhutani elements, the Head of LMDH, the Chairman of the BPD of Pajagan village and the Pajagan village which was represented by the Head of Sudapati Hamlet and representatives of the Pajagan village community.

Community service activities are carried out by providing knowledge and skills in the form of training to culinary business actors around the Jatigede reservoir. Cooking demonstration by raising an animal and biological wealth is expected to become a typical culinary specialty of the Jatigede reservoir tourist area. In addition, it also provides training related to excellent service and hospitality. It is hoped that this activity will benefit all business actors and the local community in the future.
